Scenic Panner is based on a freely extendable image database. It can be accessed and viewed on the internet, or as an installation or live performance, which combines the idea of a generated landscape/panorama with improvised music.

Online versions can be controlled by a computer keyboard. Life performances of Scenic Panner utilize (Audio-to-)MIDI-to XML data conversion to allow for the “player” to control the content and speed of the projection him-/herself. For instance a drummer can control the panorama contents with a MIDI-drumkit. The projection and music are isochronous, the musician tells a visual story by doing music.
