Halbwahrheiten

“Halbwahrheiten” (factoids) is a remittance work for a festival called 3Moments in Hochdorf, Switzerland.

In this work, the pictures of three cameras placed in every storey of a stairway were vertically split and again recombined to new pictures, displayed on every storey. These half-pictures were shown live or with a more or less long delay. The work questions realism in video and especially video surveillance, generating images which are visually not distinguishable from reality, but complete fakes.
